Fault effect and breakdown warning
Calculated fuel gauge display is incorrect owing to signal
loss. This features a safety factor and the customer
recognizes it as an apprent increase in the rate at which fuel
level drops. Subsequent refueling is not registered and the
fuel level display remains on "zero/empty."
