Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

34 51 560 - Removing and installing/replacing pressure sensor for DSC





Special tools required:
- 34 1 290 34 1 290 Plug-On Ring Wrench WAF 24





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Switch off ignition
- Protect brake system against unauthorized actuation

After completing work:
- Flush brake system Replacing Fluid in ABS/ASC+T Brake System
- Check pressure sensor for leaks





Disconnect plug connection (1).

Detach pressure sensor (2) with special tool 34 1 290 34 1 290 Plug-On Ring Wrench WAF 24.

Installation:
- Check sealing surfaces and thread of pressure sensor and of hydraulic unit for damage.
- Screw in a new pressure sensor immediately after unscrewing the old pressure sensor.
- Tightening torque 34 51 2AZ 34 51 Slip Control System (ABS, ASC+T, DSC).
