Replacing A Socket Housing For Left or Right Rear Light (on Bumper Trim)

63 21 057 - Replacing a socket housing for left or right rear light (on bumper trim) (up to 09/07)





Warning!
Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior lights) Instructions for Handling Light Bulbs (Exterior Lights).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove bumper trim





Turn socket housing for rear light (1) or (2) and remove from rear light (3).
1. Socket housing of bulb for rear fog light
2. Socket housing of bulb for reversing light
Cut associated wiring harness with sufficient residual length remaining in vehicle and remove socket housing for rear light (1) or (2).





Installation Note:
If necessary, remove bulb Replacing Bulb(s) For Left or Right Rear Light (on Bumper Trim).
Wiring is carried out with connectors 61 13 ... Butt Connector For Repairing A Plug Connection.
Wrap wiring harness in insulating tape.
Make sure wiring harness is correctly laid.
Make sure socket housing for rear light is correctly engaged and seated on rear light.
