Replacing Rear Muffler

18 10 031 - Replacing rear muffler (left or right) (N62, N62TU)





Special tools required:
- 00 2 210 00 2 210 Exhaust Pipe Cutter
- 31 2 220 31 2 220 Support Plate





Warning!
Scalding hazard!

Only perform these tasks on an engine that has cooled down.





Support rear muffler with special tool 31 2 220 31 2 220 Support Plate.





While installed, mark cutting line with aid of replacement muffler on faulty rear muffler.

Cut exhaust pipes with special tool 00 2 210 00 2 210 Exhaust Pipe Cutter at marked points and deburr.





Unscrew nuts.





Release nuts and remove rear muffler.





Connect final muffler to centre muffler.

Align clamp and tighten down.
