Vacuum Pump: Service and Repair

11 66 000 - Removing and installing/replacing vacuum pump (N52)





Special tools required:
- 11 0 290 11 0 290 Holder
- 11 4 120 11 4 120 Locking Pin
- 11 4 362 11 4 360 Removal and Mounting Fixture





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove drive belt Service and Repair.
- Remove tensioner Service and Repair for drive belt.
- Remove sealing cover Service and Repair for vacuum pump.
- Remove intake air manifold Service and Repair.





Rotate crankshaft at central bolt.
Turn sprocket wheel (3) until drilled holes and screws (1) match up.
Screw in special tool 11 4 362 11 4 360 Removal and Mounting Fixture.
Secure special tool 11 0 290 11 0 290 Holder in sprocket wheel (3) and to special tool 11 4 362 11 4 360 Removal and Mounting Fixture.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque: 11 66 2AZ 11 66 Vacuum Pump.
Release screws (1), secure against falling out.
Tightening torque: 11 66 1AZ 11 66 Vacuum Pump.
Remove vacuum pump towards rear.

Installation:
Replace seal.





Press chain tensioner (1) with chain in direction of arrow.
Insert special tool 11 4 120 11 4 120 Locking Pin.
Remove sprocket wheel (2) in direction of arrow.





Assemble engine.
