Cell Phone - Can't Answer Call With Voice Recognition ON

Call Cannot be Answered if the Voice Recognition System (SVS) is Active

MODEL
E90, E91, E92, E93 (3 Series)

with Premium Package (ZPP) or BMW Assist(TM) (SA639) and Professional radio (SA663)

SITUATION

If an incoming call is received while the voice recognition system (SVS) is active, it is not possible to accept or reject the phone call. Regardless if the call is accepted or rejected, the information displayed in the radio correctly displays the driver's request but the system only turns off SVS. The ringing tone of the incoming call is still heard through the audio system.

PROCEDURE

For all vehicles, on a customer complaint basis only, refer to the following procedure:

1. Update the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming) Procedure B using Progman V25.00.01 or higher (Target Data Status E89x-07-03-510) or higher.
