RAD2: Radio Display Has Missing Pixels or Is Inoperative

MODEL
E90, E91, E92, E93 *(3 Series) up to September 2007

*with option 663 (Radio Professional, RAD2 manufactured by ALPINE)

SITUATION

The RAD2 radio display has missing pixels or is completely inoperative.

CAUSE

Hardware issue in the radio display

CORRECTION

Replace the radio. Program and encode the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.38.2 or later.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
