51 11 157 Replacing Front Bumper Trim

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front bumper trim







Remove cover cap (1) for tow lug.
Remove BMW badge (2).
Remove front radiator grille (3) on left/right.
Remove front fog lamps (4) on left/right. (Not on M Roadster / M Coupe).
Remove license plate holder (5).
Remove trim grille (6).
If necessary, remove high-pressure nozzle (7) of left/right headlight cleaning system.
If necessary, remove side reflector or dummy part.







M Roadster and M Coupe:
Fit new filler elements (1).

IMPORTANT:
- Adhesive areas must be dry and free of dust and grease.
- Once it has been cleaned, do not touch the adhesive area with bare hands.

Lay 6 mm dia. butylene tape on area (A) of filler elements (1).
Heat butylene tape with a hot air blower.
Stick filler elements (1) on marked area of bumper trim (2) and firmly press down all round.
