Replacing Positive Lead-Alternator, Starter Motor to Support

Removing And Installing Or Replacing Battery Positive Lead (between Alternator, Starter Motor And Battery Positive Support Point) (N62)

Work step Note:
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect negative battery lead. Follow instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery.
Remove intake air manifold.
Detach battery positive lead from battery positive
support point.
Remove heater bulkhead.
Remove alternator drive belt.
Detach battery positive lead from alternator. Tightening torque.
1AZ Wires to alternator
Terminal D+
M6 7 Nm
Terminal B+
M8 13 Nm

Remove reinforcement plate.
Remove heat shield from starter motor.
Detach battery positive lead from starter motor. Tightening torque.
4AZ Electrical leads to starter
M5 5 Nm
M6 7 Nm
M8 13 Nm

Remove battery positive lead.
