Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Removing and installing / replacing both hand brake Bowden cables

Note:
After completing tasks, adjust handbrake.
Remove expander locks.





Remove rubber gaiter.





Release lock nuts with special tool 34 1 030. Screw down lock nuts and adjustment nuts fully from Bowden cables.
Installation:
Follow adjustment instructions.
Secure adjustment nuts with lock nuts.





Pull handbrake cable (1) out of mounts.
Installation: Make sure handbrake cables are correctly laid.





Pull handbrake cable (1) out of mount, out of guide tube and out of wheel carrier.
