Sunroof / Moonroof Cable: Adjustments

54 12 265 Adjusting Both Drive Cables For Actuation Of Glass Slide/Tilt Sunroof

Removing and installing glass slide/tilt sunroof.
Remove drive unit with transmission for slide/tilt sunroof actuation.







Slide mechanism (1) into zero setting.







Insert special tool 54 3 170 left/right between the guides (1) in the lifting device (2).







Lift front of special tool 54 3 170 (1) slightly and insert in control gate (2) (both drive cables are now secured in their zero setting).
Install drive unit with transmission for slide/tilt sunroof actuation.

CAUTION: Remove special tool 54 3 170 left/right (risk of damage).

Check function.
