Replacing Front Axle Support


Caution!

After installation, align front axle.

Suspend engine in installation position with special tool.
Remove engine underguard.





Remove holder for ride level sensor from front axle support.





Remove heat shield.





Unscrew left and right engine mounts.

Installation:
Make sure turning lock (1) is correctly seated.





Release holder for pressure line.
Release left and right stabilizer bars.





Remove control arm holder from front axle support on left and right.

Installation:
Control arm to front axle support
(4WD) 59 Nm
Note: Replace Screws.





Unscrew left and right bolts.

Installation:
Ball Joint for control arm to front axle carrier
(4WD) 80 Nm





Remove steering gear from front axle support and tie back.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Steering gear to front axle carrier
M10 42 Nm





Support front axle support in middle with workshop hoist.
Detach front axle support from engine support on left and right and remove front axle support.

Installation:
First tighten down screw (1)-tapered connection paint-free.
Front axle support to adapter
4WD 110 Nm
Note: Replace screws.
