Removing and Installing / Replacing the Brake Unit

Note:
Note "General Information".
After completing work, bleed brake syste.
Remove master brake cylinder, remove hydraulic control unit, remove pre-boost pump.





Remove pedal assembly panel.
Remove locking clamp (1).





Unscrew nuts (1).
Detach pressure rod (2) of brake booster from actuating pin of brake pedal.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Brake booster to pedal assembly console 22 Nm
NOTE: IMPORTANT: retighten 1x after 30 minutes on brake booster.






Carefully remove brake booster (1) from bulkhead and tilt out in direction of engine.

Note: Do not use any force when removing and installing the brake unit; the brake unit can be damaged under certain circumstances.





Remove brake booster vertically upwards out of assembly compartment.
