34 31 505 Removing and installing/replacing brake master cylinder for DSC (M3)

Note:
Read and comply with General Information. Service Precautions
Remove air cleaner.
Bleed brake system after completing tasks. Brake Bleeding
Remove expansion tank. 34 31 181 Removing and Installing/Replacing Expansion Tank For Hydraulic Brake Actuation
Remove pressure sensor "V" for DSC. Replacing Pressure Sensor "V" For DSC
Remove pressure sensor "H" for DSC. Replacing Pressure Sensor "H" For DSC
Remove cover from electrical box.





Detach brake line (1).

Installation:
M10x1 18 ±1 Nm
M12x1 18 ±1 Nm





Pull wiring harness (4) out of partition wall.
Unscrew nuts (1).

Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts (1).
Brake master cylinder to brake booster (Vacuum) 26 Nm

Withdraw brake master cylinder (2) from brake booster (3).





Installation: Replace O-ring (1).





Installation:
When inserting brake master cylinder (2) into brake booster (1), make sure that pressure rod of brake booster (1) and pressure rod of brake master cylinder (2) lie on a single plane.
