51 37 240 Removing And Installing/Replacing Outer Window Cavity Cover Strip For Door Window, Rear Left Or Right

Special tools required:
- 00 9 311

NOTE:
- Window cavity cover strip on outside and inside forms a single part and can only be replaced as such.
- Remove upper section of side trim at rear.







Release clips (1) and detach adhesive tapes (2) of seal (3).







Attach adhesive tape (1) under window cavity cover strip (2) (damage to paintwork).
Using special tool 00 9 311 and proceeding from rear to front, lever out window cavity cover strip (2) on outside.
Detach window cavity cover strip (3) on inside and remove completely.







Installation:
Window cavity cover strip on outside (1) and inside (2) must not be unevenly shaped, replace if necessary.
If necessary, attach new adhesive tapes (3).
Insert guides (4) correctly into metal opening.
