54 34 008 Removing And Installing/Replacing Hydraulic Cylinder For Clamping Bar On Left

Follow instructions for carrying out repairs on convertible top hydraulic system.







Lower all side windows.
Open convertible top until clamping bar is vertical (convertible top compartment can also be closed).







Release screw (1) of front strap.
Disconnecting lines (2):
- Detach pin (3) towards bottom
- Remove lines (2) sideways.

CAUTION: Protect joints (lines and cylinder) against dripping fluid (e.g. cleaning cloth).







Removing hydraulic cylinder:
- Slide retainers (1) upwards (can remain on cylinder).
- Detach ball sockets (2) sideways.

Installation:
- Carry out operational check.
- Check convertible top settings.
- Check fluid level.
