Convertible Top Deck Lid Strut: Service and Repair

51 25 070 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Left And Right Gas Struts For Soft Top Compartment Cover

Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim.
Lift soft top out of convertible top compartment.
Unclip gas spring strut at linkage.







Release nuts and screw (1).
Pull out holder (2) towards rear.







Unclip cable tie (1).
Detach locking plate (1) and remove pin.
Remove gas spring strut (3) from holder.
