Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter, not connected

Fault description
O2 Sensor Exhaust Sample Error (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Diagnosis recognizes one O2 sensor connected to wiring
harness, but not connectd to exhaust system.
Diagnosis activation conditions:
- Overrun cutoff cannot be active !
- No other O2 sensor faults
- Sensor must be adequately heated
Terminal condition: Engine running
Voltage condition:
battery voltage<11V oder Ubatt > 16 volts

Condition for fault memory entry
Fault monitoring criterion must be present longer than 10
sec. (with tank empty: 610 sec.)

Action in service
Install O2 sensor with connected plug in exhaust system
