Fault description
'B' Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System
Performance (Bank 2)

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Bank 2 exhaust travel-limit adaptation monitor
(if OK: 58�KW < Vsa2_adp < 84�KW)
VANOS must be at travel limit, i.e., Vsa2_sprs=120�KW.
Terminal condition: KL_15 = true
Voltage condition:
none

Condition for fault memory entry
Entered immediately

Action in service
Test sequence (check to determine whether fault is still
present after each step):
1. If corresponding camshaft sensor fault has been logged,
start by checking camshaft sensor
2. Check VANOS valve for contamination
3. Check reluctor position
4. Check chain length and tension

US: Standard OBD fault; MIL on after 2 driving cycles,
transmits to scan tool; no EPCL; delete fault after 40 warm-
up cycles
ECE: AS US but no MIL
