Parking Pawl: Service and Repair

Remove Or Replacing Parking Lock (A5S 325Z)

Note: After completing work, top up ATF level. Check/top up fluid level in automatic transmission, refer to 00 11 500.

Transmission oil sump removed.

Remove transmission oil sump, refer to 24 11 003.

Caution:
It is absolutely essential to use the approved automatic transmission fluid in this automatic transmission,
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!

Installation:
Check function of parking lock.

Move selector lever into "P" setting.

Check whether parking lock is engaged by rotating Cardan shaft or by pushing car.





Push in detent disk (1) in direction of arrow up to stop.

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove guide bracket (3).
Tightening Torque, refer to Technical Data 24 34 3AZ.





Unscrew bolt (1).

With an offset tool (2) (e.g. hexagon socket screw key 5 A/F), push out guide pin of locking pawl (4). Remove spring (3) and locking pawl (4).
Tightening Torque, refer to Technical Data 24 34 9AZ.
