Remove Transmission Extension (A5S 325Z)

Note: After completing work, check transmission oil level and top up if necessary. Check/top up fluid level in automatic transmission, refer to 00 11 500.

Remove complete exhaust system.

Caution:
It is absolutely essential to use the approved automatic transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!

Remove heat shield (1).

Support transmission with special tool 00 2 030, 24 5 301, 24 5 304.

Unfasten screws.

Remove cross-member (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque, 21 Nm.

Unfasten screws.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque, refer to propeller shaft replacement.

Grip propeller shaft and release nuts.

Kink propeller shaft downwards at center mount (1), detach from transmission output flange and tie up to vehicle underbody on one side.

Installation:
Tightening torque, Center mount 21 Nm.

Unfasten screws.

Installation:
Tightening torque, M8 thread 22 Nm.

Remove transmission extension.

Installation:
Install shim (1).

Replace O-ring (2).
