Replacing Steering Spindle Sleeve

32 31 102 Replacing steering spindle sleeve

Removing sleeve: Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Remove lower section of steering spindle.

Detach steering sleeve from bulkhead.
Installation:
Make sure sleeve is correctly seated.





Marking (1) must point vertically upwards.

Removing holder for steering sleeve: Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Remove complete steering column.
^ If necessary] remove accelerator pedal module.





Fold carpet in area of holder forwards.
Release nuts and remove holder.
Installation:
Check seating of sleeve in bulkhead and holder, reattach sleeve if necessary.
