Hydraulic Pump: Service and Repair
Remove/Replacing Hydraulic Unit (S6S 420G SMG)
Note:
After completing work:
Proceed in accordance with test program, refer to "Service Functions" in DIS Tester.
Read out fault memory and clear fault entries.
Check fluid level in hydraulic system.
Depressurize hydraulic system. Procedures
Disconnect battery, battery positive lead from battery connection point. Instructions For Disconnecting and Connecting Battery
Remove intake air manifold.
Unlock cable plug (1) on hydraulic unit from below and detach.
Release screw from below.
Release screw.
NOTE:
Clean connection points before disconnecting lines.
Disconnect hydraulic lines (1).
Tightening torque, 21 52 7AZ.
Note:
Plug tapped holes with suitable plastic caps.
Removing connecting hose on hydraulic unit:
Press clamping ring (2) downwards and at the same time pull connecting hose up and out.
Disconnect cable plug (1) of carbon canister.
Release screw on manifold support (1).
Pull manifold support (1) upwards a little.
Lift out hydraulic unit.
Installation:
- Align manifold support (1) before tightening down screw.
- To do so, fit manifold and align manifold support (1).
Tighten down screw.
If necessary, repeat this procedure several times until manifold support (1) is aligned.
Important!
Observe installation position of hydraulic lines.
Observe color coding.
^ A (Blue) => Shift travel "FORWARD"
^ B (Yellow) => Clutch slave cylinder
^ C (Green) => Selection angle sensor
^ D (Black) => Shift travel "BACK"
NOTE:
Clean connection points before disconnecting lines.
Installation position of hydraulic lines.
^ A (Blue) => Shift travel "FORWARD"
^ B (Yellow) => Clutch slave cylinder
^ C (Green) => Selection angle sensor
^ D (Black) => Shift travel "BACK"
Installation:
- Guide pin of hydraulic unit must engage in lower retaining fixture.
