Hydraulic Accumulator: Service and Repair

Replacing Pressure Accumulator For Hydraulic Unit (S6S 420G SMG)

Note:
After completing work:
Proceed in accordance with test program, refer to "Service Functions" in DIS Tester.
Read out fault memory and clear fault entries.
Check fluid level in hydraulic system.

Depressurize hydraulic system. Procedures

Disconnect battery, battery positive lead from battery connection point. Instructions For Disconnecting and Connecting Battery

Remove intake air manifold.





Disconnect cable plug (1) of carbon canister.

NOTE:
Clean connection point/screw-on surfaces of piston accumulator and hydraulic unit before releasing.






Release screw (1) and (2).

Release pressure accumulator at hexagon head (3).






Tightening torque, 21 52 8AZ.


Remove pressure accumulator.





Installation:
Observe installation position of sealing ring (1).
