Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Replacing Idle-Speed Control Valve (S54)

Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Turn off ignition.
Remove intake air manifold.







Release hose clamps (1) and detach hoses from idle-speed control valve (2).
Unlock plug (3) and detach from idle-speed control valve (2).
Release nuts.
Remove holder (4) together with idle-speed control valve (2).

Installation Note: If necessary, install holder (4) with rubber damper on new idle- speed control valve.


NOTE:
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Check stored fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Then clear fault memory.
