Checking Rear Disks For Runout and Thickness Variation
Unscrew bolts (1). Remove and suspend brake caliper from vehicle.
Installation: Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.
Tighten down brake disk with 2 wheel studs through max. 5 turns. If necessary, use washers to prevent wheel studs from touching expander lock.
Fit special tool 00 2 510 (dial gauge) and special tool 00 2 470/480.
Apply dial-gauge tip on outer edge of brake disk with light preload.
Turn brake disk slowly and read off lateral runout, refer to Specifications.
Measure thickness deviation at about 8 points on brake surface using a micrometer, refer to Specifications.
