54 34 006 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Hydraulic Cylinder For Convertible Top Compartment Lid

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Follow instructions for repairing hydraulic system.
- Remove luggage compartment trim on left.
- If necessary, remove holder for navigation computer.
- If necessary, remove radio receiver.







Unfasten screws and remove bracket.

Installation:
3AZ Carrier panel from drive for convertible top lock to convertible top 10 ± 1.5 Nm

Adjusting:
- Check basic setting of convertible to compartment lid.
- Slide holder as far forward as possible.
Convertible top compartment lid must not rise.
- Check convertible top compartment lid transitions.







Detach retainer and remove pin.
Lay holder to one side.







Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Remove retainer (2) and detach cylinder from ball end.







Remove cable strap.
Disconnect corresponding hydraulic lines (1...2).
