51 17 324 Removing And Installing/replacing Trim Strip On Convertible Top Compartment Lid







Open side windows.
Unlock soft top and raise over dead center.
Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.







Release screws (1).

NOTE: Carefully lever trim (2) in area (3) out of trim strip (4).

Detach trim (2) towards front.







Installation:
Seal (1) and catch (2) of trim (3) must not be damaged.







Release nuts (1) on left/right.
Close convertible top compartment lid (2).







Remove trim strip (1) flat and upwards otherwise ten screw fittings (2) may move and fall onto metal.







Installation:
Seal (1) must not be damaged.
Push ten screw fittings (2) into markings of trim strip (3).
