Convertible Top Deck Lid Motor: Service and Repair

51 25 028 Removing And Installing/Replacing Drive Unit For Convertible Top Compartment Lid Locks

Remove rear seat.
Unlock convertible top compartment lid locks.
If necessary, carry out emergency unlocking, refer to Owner's handbook.







Unlock protective cap (1) at lugs (2).







NOTE: Do not move Bowden cables (1) and (2).

Lift Bowden cables (1) and (2) out of housing (3).
Lift Bowden cable cores (4) and (6) out of mount (5).

Installation:
Bowden cable (1) is for left convertible top compartment lid lock.







Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2) and remove drive unit (3).

Installation:
Clip in emergency crank (4) again after installation.
Check function.







Replacement only:
Unfasten plug connection (1) on holder.
Release screw (2) and remove drive (3).
