54 31 020 Replacing Convertible Top Fabric

Remove trim on convertible top lock.
Remove roofliner.







Detach convertible top cover at front from convertible top frame towards rear.







Drill out rivets in window guide on C-pillar.

Installation:
For riveting, fit a small nut (e.g. M5) as an adapter between rivet and riveting tool.

CAUTION: Risk of damage to door window or window guide: Make sure there are no parts protruding from rivet. Riveting bolt must be correctly torn off.







Detach convertible top cover from bows towards top.
1. Double-sided adhesive tape
2. Bow with convertible top cover

Installation:
Replace double-sided adhesive tape.

Remove convertible top cover.
Add final details to vehicle.

Installation:
Check function.
