Brake Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Pre-Boost Pump DSC3

Note: After completing work:
Perform the service function "Bleeding DSC hydraulics" with the Diagnosis and Information System.
Bleed front-axle circuit.





Remove microfilter (1).





Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Installation:
Ensure proper locking of plug connector.





Detach brake lines (1) and (2).

Caution!: Brake fluid may emerge. Do not mix up brake lines.

Release screw (3).
All screws to precharging pump and holder 8 Nm

Installation:
Line connections (see designation on precharging pump):
HZ: Line to brake master cylinder
BA: Line to brake fluid supply tank
Brake hose couplings
M10x1 18 ± 1 Nm
M12x1 14 ± 1 Nm





Press catch (1 ) in direction of arrow and disconnect plug.

Installation:
Ensure proper locking of plug connection.





Release screw (1).
All screws to precharging pump and holder 8 Nm
Remove sleeve (2) and rubber buffer (3).

Installation:
Make sure rubber mounts are correctly seated.
Convert holders (4) and (5).
