34 11 519 Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Front Brake Caliper

Remove Wheels

Note: After completing tasks, bleed the brake system.





Apply pedal prop and depress brake pedal slightly. This prevents brake fluid from emerging from the expansion tank and air from entering the brake system after brake lines have been detached
Disconnect brake line from connection with brake hose.

Left:
Remove connector for wear indicator.

Installation:
Tighten brake hose on brake caliper.
Set steering to straight-ahead setting.
Screw brake hose to brake line, ensuring that brake hose is not twisted.

Brake hose couplings
M10x1 18 ±1 Nm
M12x1 18 ±1 Nm





Unscrew bolts (1) and remove brake caliper.

Installation:
Front Wheel Brakes
Brake Disc to Wheel Hub 16 Nm

Note: Contact surfaces between brake disc and wheel hub cleaned and free of grease.
