Removing And Installing/Replacing Airbag Module On Left Or Right Front Door

WARNING:
Observe safety regulations for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical seat belt tensioners, refer to MG 72.
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.







Remove front door trim panel.
Release screws (1) on airbag module (2).
Remove airbag module.

Installation:
Replace microencapsulated screws.
Tightening torque.
1AZ Airbag module in door, door trim panel or in side frame, holder
E53 8.5 Nm







Disconnect plug connection (1) on airbag module (2).
