Removing and Installing/Replacing Expansion Tank For Hydraulic Brake Actuation

Read and comply with General Information.
Remove cover/microfilter.
Draw the brake fluid out of the expansion tank. Use a suction bottle used exclusively for drawing off brake fluid.
Do not reuse drawn off brake fluid.





Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Pull off supply hose (2) of clutch hydraulic system if necessary.
Press left and right retaining lugs (3) apart.
Pull expansion tank (4) vertically out of brake master cylinder.

Release hose clip (1) and detach supply hose (2) of precharging pump from expansion tank.
The supply hose must be secured in a vertical position so that no fluid emerges.
Installation: Check rubber plug in master brake cylinder and replace if necessary. No damage may be present.
