51 17 060 Removing And Installing Convertible Top Compartment Lid







Open side windows.
Unlock soft top and raise over dead center.
Position clamping bar and compartment lid vertically or stow in convertible top compartment.

NOTE:
- Make a note of number of adjustment shims on left/right.
- At least one adjustment shim must be fitted on each side (corrosion).
- Removal and installation must be carried out with assistance of a second person.







Unfasten plug connection (1). Release nut (3) on left/right.
Release nuts (4) on left/right and remove adjustment shims (2).
Remove compartment lid (6) upwards from hinge (5) and place on a clean surface.

Installation:
Adjust compartment lid.
