51 25 016 Adjusting Bowden Cable For Convertible Top Compartment Lid On Left Or Right

Remove rear seat.
Open side windows.
Unlock soft top and raise over dead center.
Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.







Ideal adjustment:
Hook (1) rests against housing (2) of convertible top compartment lid lock (3).







Unlock protective cap (1) at lugs (2).







Adjusting left Bowden cable:
Lift Bowden cable (4) out of housing (1).
Adjust adjustment nut (5) until ideal setting is achieved.
Adjusting right Bowden cable:
Lift Bowden cable (3) out of housing (1).
Adjust adjustment nut (2) until ideal setting is achieved.
