Replacing Control Unit For DSC (MK60)

DSC (Dynamic Stability Control)
First read out fault memory of control unit and if necessary print diagnostic record.
Remove DSC hydraulic unit.

Caution: Removing pump motor from valve block is not permitted!





To remove the DSC unit, seal off the line connections with the plugs (1) provided in the repair kit. This prevents brake fluid from being discharged from the hydraulic unit, which in turn makes it easier to bleed the brake system later.
Secure provided retaining lug (2) from repair kit for pump motor with aid of plugs (3).





Loosen screws (1).
Carefully detach control unit (2).

E46 (MK20) 2.6 Nm
E46 (MK60) 5 Nm
(4WD) 2.9 Nm
