Replacing Shift Control Unit

Remove Or Replacing Shift Control Unit (A5S 310Z)
Remove oil pan.
Refer to 24 11 008.





Unfasten screws and remove oil strainer.





Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 24 31 2AZ.

Installation:
Replace O-ring (1).
To facilitate assembly, coat O-ring (1) with Vaseline.





Unscrew cover (1) from valve body.

Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 24 30 1 AZ.





Unscrew valve body on case.

Caution: Only unscrew bolts with head size (A) of 12 mm.

Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 24 30 1 AZ.





Turn connector to left and remove.





Remove retaining clip and press cable connector into transmission case.





Installation:
Note installation position in connector housing.





Installation:
Replace O-rings.
To facilitate assembly, coat O-ring (1) with Vaseline.





Remove valve body with wire harness.





Installation:
Note dowel pin (1).
The spigot (3) on the selector lever must engage in the groove of the slide valve (2).

Installation:
Insert dowel pin in the transmission case.
