Except A5S 360R/390R, A4S 200R Transmission

Remove/Sealing Or Transmission Oil Sump





Drain off oil.

Version with oil filler pipe:
Remove filler neck (1).





Unscrew oil pan.

Take off oil sump with seal.





Installation:
Fit bracket with straight shoulder on side or fit concave bracket to front and rear.
Tightening Torque, M6 thread 6 Nm.

Clean oil sump.

Caution: Install magnetic shims (1 and 2) in oil pan.





Check seal (3), replace if necessary.





Version with oil filler pipe:
Take out oil dipstick.

Caution: Oil dipstick is locked:

Tilt handle to unlock oil dipstick for removal.

Pour in ATF.





Top up ATF using special tool 24 0 080.
Volume: approximately 3.0 liters.





Check oil level in selector lever setting "P" or "N" at engine idle speed and top up if necessary.

Car must be stationary on a level surface.

Never wipe off oil dipstick with a cloth which loses lint.

Transmission-oil temperature is recorded by a temperature dependent resistor integrated in the transmission wiring harness.

Interrogate ATF temperature with MoDiC or Service Tester.
Refer to Test Plan

Take out oil dipstick and measure oil level.

Oil Level Conversion Table:

Compare measured level with values in the table.





Version without filler pipe:
Oil filler pipe is omitted as of 1.91.

ATF is poured in through the filler bore underneath the oil sump.

Unscrew the filler screw plug (1).

Installation:
Check seal; replace if necessary.





Car must be stationary on a level surface.

With the engine is not running, pour in ATF using the filler neck (2) until ATF runs out of overflow hole.

Do not seal aperture.

Start engine and shift through all gears, operating brake at same time.

Increase ATF temperature to 30 - 55°C.

Interrogate with MoDiC or Service Tester.
Refer to Test Plan

Run engine at idle speed in selector lever setting "P" or "N".

Check ATF level again.

Screw in and tighten filler plug.
