Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

Replacing fuel filter (Z3 / M54)


CAUTION!
The fuel in the fuel lines is under pressure (approx. 3-5 bar)! Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Switch off ignition.







Release screws.
Remove cover (1) on floor plate.







Detach vacuum hose (1) from fuel pressure regulator (2).
Release clamp (3) and detach fuel line (4) from fuel filter (5).







Release clamps (1) and (2) and detach fuel lines.
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.

Installation:
Replace clips.
Release nut (3) on holder.
Remove fuel filter (4).
