Replacing Outer Cover (Front) on Left or Right Front Seat

Removing And Installing/Replacing Outer Cover (Front) On Left Or Right Front Seat (Sports/Electric)

This description relates to the front cover only.

Separate documents exist for:
- Rear covers (backrest joint)
- Carrier for front cover

For improved clarity, the repair work has been carried out on a seat that has been removed.







Move seat upwards.
Lever out lugs (2) of cover from holders (3) towards outside.
1. Cable plug







Feed in special tool 51 3 057 behind top edge of cover (1) and pass along edge towards front and rear. Press tool/cover edge upwards towards outside (above all in area of engaged retaining lugs (2)).
Remove cover to side slightly.
Disconnect plug. Remove cover.

Installation:
Retaining lugs and tabs must not be damaged, replace cover if necessary.
Do not crush cable plug when installing cover.







Replacement of switch combination only:
Raise lugs (1) slightly and detach switch combination (2).

Installation Note: Lugs and catches of switch combination must not be damaged.







Replacement of lumbar support switch only:
Press catches (1) on left/right to one side and remove switch (2).
