Wrong Interior Mirror Installed

E46 (3 Series) - M3 coupe
SITUATION
The interior mirror on M3 coupes does not have the red DWA warning LED located on the underside of the mirror. When the DWA alarm system has been installed, this red warning LED flashes to indicate that the alarm is armed.
CORRECTION
Only when a DWA alarm system has been installed, install an interior mirror with red LED indicator (refer to repair instructions 51 16 060).
