Shift Arm Of Shift Lever Mount

Replacing Shift Arm For Shift-Lever Mount
Remove selector lever.





Lever support bearing (1) out of mount.





Installation:
Insert support bearing (1) with arrow (2) facing upwards in holder.





Lever out spring (1) with a screwdriver from lug (2) on housing and tilt upwards.





Remove bearing pin (1).

Installation:
Grease bearing pin (1).
Grease, refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids.





Remove selector arm. Detach support bearing (1) from selector arm.

Installation:
Grease bearing pin of selector arm.
Grease, refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids.

Fit support bearing (1) with opening (3) towards rear on selector arm.





Replace bearing bush if damaged.

Press out bearing bush.

Coat new bearing bush with Circo light and then press into selector arm until side flanges of bearing bush protrude uniformly.
