Replacing Windscreen Wiper Motor

Replacing Windscreen Wiper Motor (Z3 Roadster, Z3 Coupe)

Before disassembly, run wiper motor in rest position (if still possible).
Comply with general instructions for disconnecting the battery.
Removing complete wiper console.







Unfasten nut on motor crank and pry off crank from motor.


NOTE: Drive rods remain fitted, illustrated without drive rods for sake of clarity.







Unfasten screws and remove wiper motor from console.
Tightening Torque, 10 Nm







Installation:
Replace screws.
Screw new wiper motor onto wiper console, connect to vehicle wiring harness and run in rest position.

Installation:
Fit motor crank onto shaft in such a way that it forms one line with drive rod on passenger side.







Twist motor crank on nut slightly out of rest position, then grip and tighten down.
Tightening Torque, 27 Nm
