51 16 200 Removing And Installing Oddments Tray (Z3 Roadster, M Roadster, Z3 Coupe, M Coupe)

Releasing and removing oddments tray:
If necessary, remove radio receiver.
Version with manual transmission:
Remove shift lever knob with cover and sound insulation.
Version with automatic transmission:
Remove handle with cover and sound insulation.







Unfasten screws on left/right side.







Lift out rubber gaiter (1).







Pull finisher strip (1) approx. 5 mm backwards and remove upwards.







Lift off finisher strips (1) and unfasten left/right screws.







Unfasten screws (1).

NOTE: The operation "Unfastening oddments tray" ends here.

Removing oddments tray:
Remove all switches from oddments tray.
Remove clock.

M Roadster only:
Remove outside temperature gauge.
Remove oil temperature gauge.







Unfasten left/right screws.
Unclip heater controls and slide inwards.







Lift oddments tray (1) at rear (A) a little and at same time pull towards rear (B) a little until guides (2) at front are fed out.
Disconnect plug connection and light for cigarette lighter.

Z3 Roadster from 04/99:
Disconnect plug connection for clock/onboard computer.







Push oddments tray (1) forwards at an angle and guide out of parking brake lever (2).
Remove oddments tray (1) from vehicle.
