Notes On Handling CD Changers

Special tools required:
- 00 9 341


NOTE:
To ensure trouble-free CD changer operation, ensure both suspension springs are correctly positioned (horizontal/vertical). If necessary, correct adjustment.
To avoid premature contamination of the CD changer, make sure the magazine compartment flap is permanently closed.
For purposes of clarity, the following illustrations show the CD changer removed.







Emergency changer magazine release:
Insert special tool 00 9 341 as illustrated into CD changer (1) and release changer magazine (2).


IMPORTANT!
Do not use force to remove changer magazine (2).


Remove changer magazine (2) after ejection from CD changer (1).


NOTE:
The following work steps are only possible in installed state.
If there is still a CD in the CD changer after the changer magazine has been removed, proceed as follows.
Insert the empty changer magazine into the CD changer. When the elect button is pressed, the CD remaining in the changer magazine is transported back and ejected.
If there are still two or more CDs in the CD changer after the changer magazine has been removed, the following work steps must be carried out.
After the changer magazine has been manually removed, the eject button must be pressed again.







Slide back eject lever (2) with a flat plastic ruler (1).


NOTE: Guide plastic ruler (1) as illustrated flat on inside of housing (3).


The CDs (4) are ejected as soon as the eject lever (2) has reached its rear position.







NOTE: Hold eject lever in this position with plastic ruler (1) until CDs (2) are completely ejected.


Remove CDs (2) from CD changer (3).
