Replacing Rear Left or Right Seat Belt




Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Left Or Right Seat Belt

Removing inertia reel unit:
Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim.







Release belt nut (1).

Installation Note: Tightening torque, Seat belt on body, except for B-pillar 31 Nm.







Release screws (1).
Remove belt guide (2).







Slacken nut (1).
Remove reversing clip (2) on seatbelt height adjuster.

Installation Note: Tightening torque, Seat belt at belt height adjustment (reversing clip) 31 Nm.







Removal of seatbelt height adjuster only:
Release screws (1) simultaneously so that seatbelt height adjuster (2) does not tilt.
Remove seatbelt height adjuster (2).

Installation Note: Tightening torque, Screw of seatbelt height adjuster to counter-support plate 31 Nm.







Release screw (1).
Slide inertia reel unit (2) upwards at an angle and release from wheel arch wall.

Installation Note: Tightening torque , Inertial reel unit to body/B-pillar 31 Nm.







Installation Note: Ensure correct seating of coding on inertia reel unit (1) in wheel arch wall (2).







Feed inertia reel unit (1) and strap downwards out of opening in adapter plate.







Removing belt buckle:


NOTE: If necessary, remove rear seat.


Release screw (1).
Remove left belt buckle (2) and lower strap (3) for seat belt, rear center.

Installation Note: Tightening torque, Seat belt on body, except for B-pillar 31 Nm.







Release screw (1).
Remove right belt buckle (2) and upper strap (3) for seat belt, rear center.

Installation Note: Tightening torque, Seat belt on body, except for B-pillar 31 Nm.







Installation Note: Lug (1) must snap into place in bore (2).
