C53 MID Radio: Sound Distortion in CD Mode

Vehicles produced from 03/2001 to 04/2001 with option 661 (Radio BMW Business) and option 692 (CD Changer)
SITUATION
Distorted sound (high and low frequencies) during CD operation (CD Changer), especially with higher audio volume settings
CAUSE
Error in the radio
CORRECTION
Replace the radio.
