Checking A Valve Guide For Wear
(Valve Removed)





To measure tilt clearance, install a new valve so that end of valve stem is flush with valve guide.
Attach dial gauge and measure tilt clearance.

Note: Max. permissible tilt clearance, refer to Specifications, Mechanical.

Caution:
Repair valves of larger stem size are "NOT SUPPLIED".
In event of excessive tilt clearance: replace cylinder head.
