Removing and Installing or Replacing Clutch Operating Cylinder


Remove Or Replacing Clutch Operating Cylinder

Note: After completion of work, bleed clutch hydraulic system.
Refer to 21 00 006.

Remove transmission underbody protection.





Close off supply hose to clutch-sensor cylinder with special tool 13 3 010.





Disconnect pressure line from clutch slave cylinder.

Installation:
For tightening torque.
Refer to Technical Data 21 52 1 AZ





Unscrew nuts.

Note: Relieve clutch slave cylinder slowly, as otherwise air may be sucked in via the sealing sleeve.





Installation:
For tightening torque.
Refer to Technical Data 21 52 5AZ

Installation:
Clean pressure pin and support face on release lever.
Apply light coat of grease to pressure pin.
Grease, refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids.
